Ukraine Marine Unit Flag from the 503rd Separate Battalion of Marine
On August 24 – Independence Day, the Marines of the 503rd Separate Battalion of Marines raised their flag right in front of the Russian positions on the contact line in the Donetsk region in the Avdiyivka area.
To do this, the Ukrainian military covered several kilometers at night and came almost close to the Russians. The flag was raised on the administrative building of the former mine, destroyed by the invaders.
The marines did their rather risky act in order to congratulate all Ukrainians on the main holiday of the country, to demonstrate to the Russians who is the real master on this earth, and also to convey a kind of message – Ukraine will definitely liberate its territories!
