Virginia – July 26, 2023 – The Mountain Seed Foundation (MSF) is proud to announce its commitment to providing a nurturing and supportive environment where participants can tap into their inner resilience, setting forth on a transformative path towards healing at the Healing Base Camp (HBC). It’s a place where hope flourishes like sunflowers, and the indomitable human spirit prevails against all odds.
This Sunday, July 30th marks a heartfelt welcome extended to the brave mothers and children of Gold Star families as they embark on a life-changing journey at the first of two Healing Base Camps this summer.
MFS program philosophy is rooted in the profound principles of Positive Psychology, embracing the inherent strengths and resilience within each participant. Instead of concentrating on weaknesses and symptoms, MSF programs offers those grieving the loss of a parent a secure space to flourish and thrive.
Founded on the principles of PERMA+, the unique group program harnesses the power of positive psychology and cognitive behavioral tools to nurture hope, trust, purpose, and meaning. Mountain See Foundation fosters positive emotions, meaningful relationships, engagement, and a sense of accomplishment.
This structured group program draws inspiration from Dr. Martin Seligman’s theory of well-being, PERMA+ — an acronym representing the components essential to crafting a life worth living: Positive Emotions, Engagement, Relationships, Meaning & Purpose, and Accomplishment.
Stay tuned for personal stories as Ukraine Gold Star Families embark on a journey of self-discovery, uncovering the heroes within themselves.
